People credited with this unit standard can train colleagues in the workplace, in accordance with organisational requirements.

On successful completion of the course the trainee will be able to:

• Determine skills and knowledge required by colleagues in accordance with organisational requirements.
• Conduct training on-job.
• Support colleagues in applying new skills and knowledge on the job.

Applicants require access to relevant workplace and two colleagues to train.

Assessment will consist of three tasks:

• Task One – Written task – identify a training gap and prepare training session plan(s).
• Task Two – Practical activity – deliver training to two colleagues (observed by VHNZ trainer).
• Task Three – Post training documents – feedback on training from colleagues and self-reflection.

One Day (4 hours theory and 4 hours practical assessment completed in the workplace).
