The aim of this course is to educate learners in the use of and safety requirements for an EPJ in regards to people, property, and the environment.

During the training, the learners will undergo an informal in-class assessment followed by a short practical assessment. The course covers pre-operational checks confirming the EPJ is fit for the operational purpose.

The practical assessment will involve the load [to be moved] being evaluated in regards to size, shape and weight. The route is planned to minimise any damage to the quality of the product during tracking clearances, speed of movements and adapting to surfaces and conditions with minimal disruption to production.

The course requires a level of fitness to demonstrate competency for the skill being trained.

Learners must have sufficient English to be confident in being assessed under exam like conditions.

VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS

Please make available the type or class of vehicle required for this training. The provided vehicle must have a current: Registration and Warrant of Fitness Test certificate where applicable.

SITE REQUIREMENTS

To deliver training at your site a training room is required that can hold the appropriate number of people scheduled on course and an appropriate area to conduct practical driving assessments.
